Hi Elektronauts ,
I having a problem understand how the slide function works I have both monomachine and machinedrum , the same story for both of them ,it feels really random to me. I am used to the 303 style slide function that the moment you put it on the note it means this note will slide to the next one. But I can’t figure what should I do with the elektorn machines to get same effect
Hey,
First make sure you put a slide trig on the sequencer step from which you want the slide to begin.
The note on that step will then do a slide to the next note on the sequencer - BUT ONLY on paramaters that are p-locked.
So if the note has no p-locks there won’t be any slide effect.
The idea (I guess) is that this allows you to specify which paramters you want to apply the slide effect to.
Hope that helps.
NB: both the “start” and “end” notes needs to have p-locked the paramters you want to slide
The slide function allows for parameter locks to “slide,” that is, instead of abruptly changing it changes it slowly, or slides it giving it a less abrupt change from the default parameter to the locked parameter.
10x , Now it all makes sence
Thankyou so much for this. I have been really puzzled by slide. Now I’m rocking to it!!!
