Can't create dir for samples

Following the steps in the tutorials to import samples and each time i attempt to create a dir to put them in i get an error message.

Any clues as to what I’m doing wrong? Pretty sure its not simply just that one the project folder is locked or something.

Are you trying to create the directory in the factory folder? Is it protected?

No. You do not have to be inside incoming.

The factory samples folder seems to be write protected and you get “error” if your try to create a folder inside.

Just press function+track and go to samples.

You should see both “factory” and “incoming” folders. If you see anything else you are inside a folder. Back out of the folder (Hit YES on the “…”)

Once you see the folders the press the right arrow key and select create dir.

Thanks for the help … it’s all much clearer now. Should have RTFM I guess! Now if only C6 would cooperate! Tried to download the Reshaped Harmonics sample pack but the download failed every 4 or 5 samples. Took forever doing it in multiple batches. Used the settings shown in the above video, with the supplied usb cable connected directly to the back of my iMac. Turning off turbo works perfectly except it is painfully slow.

I have had very few problems with a MacBook Pro retina. I usually make sure to shut both the rytm and my mac down before I connect them and do sample transfers. Hopefully overbridge will bring better results soon.
