Cand load my stems in flex tracks

hey there i’m trying to playback some stems exported from ableton (16bit 44.1khz 2 ch) but has a sad smiley face and says error when i try to asign it to a slot in the sample pool.

any help appreciated.<3

are they too big for ram per chance?
tried em in static machines? static stream from the flash card. if you have large samples / stems static machines are the way.

thanx my bad

just to double check, you know there are 2 separate sample lists. static & flex. to use static machines you have to load the samples into the static list rather than the flex list.

maybe you know but I’m just double checking in case.

Glad it works now.
Static machines have a few downsides, only very few editing tools available in the audio editor and not really suited for fast switching between slices, granular and retrigger orgies. But aside from that, they are fine. I usually populate static list first and only use flex when necessary.

for some reason its playing back my sample at the wrong bpm

Then it’s wrong sample rate (has to be 44.1 khz) or check if timestretch is active.
I know you wrote 16 bit 44.1 khz, but double check. Wrong sample rate will play at higher or lower pitch.

Also check if pitch is at zero and rate at +63.

Btw, for stems you can do 24 bit, enough space on the cf card, but even for flex I always go 24 bit and 16 only if absolutely necessary.

This.

Also, why load such long samples into the flex lists? Thats what static machines are for.
