Hey, you know there is quite a lot of processing and fake (or real?) tape saturation going on here. Also some of that is samples rather than synthesis so depending on which sounds you want to attempt, maybe you can get in the general vicinity but if you want something that has a similar texture it will be more difficult to do it all in-house.
… e.g. the string sounds are samples, their noisy component moves up and down in colour with the pitch which is one of the indicators.
Things like this can be mimiced:
tape wobble = random LFO → pitch
strings = Swarm Machine
noise = swarm has noise that can be blended in
noise colour moves with pitch = filter with resonance and keytracking
overdrive after Filter = FX Drive
so it is possible, but …
…nah, this is not any hw groovebox production…
this is full blown daw processing…
This is not the Syntakt’s sound world, at all.
Also, loved the track until the vocals came in, then it lost me…
After reading too Syntakt science lab threads I’m gonna say “yes”.
Will it be easy? No.
(But it won’t be easy on anything - that stuff needs many, many hours of practice and experimentation)
OTOH: A granular synthesizer seems much more suitable, eg. Digitakt or Tonverk.
Samplers and granular synthesizers are a whole other can of worms though.
PS: Is it just me? Can anybody else see the videos in this forum without a lot of juggling and copy/pasting of URLs?
