Can OT receive Midi notes?

As the title says, is there a way to get the OT to receive Midi notes from an external midi controller and record the notes in Live record just like you can when using chromatic mode?

I’m guessing not as I can see no mention of it the manual.

yes it can, but it will only play the notes range that octatrack has, which is 2 or 3 octaves i think. you have to go to settings>midi>control>tick audio note in. I’m not sure if there are more setting you need to adjust, but I have done it before, so yes its possible. what you can’t do is play slices on a keyboard/pad controller

Thanks, and can the input midi notes then be routed out of the Midi out from OT to control an external synth?

Yes, but you will have to select the midi track on the octatrack to have the midi routed to that synth or drum machine. Again, not sure about the settings, but yes its possible.
