Hmmm … twice as much? Here in my region (Central Europe) I’ve seen the MK2 new as low as €1000.-, but no MK1 used lower than €800.-.

mk1 is a bargain.
but I can see why people want the new hardware. It feels very good from my experience with digitakt and -tone.

I’m from the UK. The mk1 goes for around £550 on eBay

Yeh having the Analog keys and digitone you tell the upgrade in the actual materials used and feel of the product
