Can it do this Tempest style playing?

I neither have a Tempest or an AR. However I am intrigued by the Rytm and am considering getting one at some point.

It seems that in this video (from about 7:45 on) he is triggering clips that cancel each other out and create nice fills and breaks.

I was wondering can you do this or similar on the Rytm?

On the A4 you can change patterns in the middle, so I’m sure you can do that on the AR as well.

yes you can

You can do it, but you have to press two keys (pattern then trig 1-16), and they’re smaller so you’d have to be a lot faster and more precise. Juggling different beats (patterns) is something the tempest is particularly good at.
