Can I sequence a part change on the OT MkII

Hello all,

I’ve been loving my OT MkII (I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks - maybe less) and i’m really loving it. I’ve been paring it with my Digitakt and having a great time learning.

In learning about the OT and the use of Parts I would like to be able to sequence with the part change happens because i’m recording in one part, switching over to a second part to have pre-sliced track where I can than mangle the recorded section.

In doing this, i’d like to be able to sequence when the part change happens.

Is that possible? (or should I be looking at a different way to do this).

Note: The reason I was looking at switching parts was to go from a Thru machine (where i’m recording the effects) to a flex machine where it is set for pre sliced setup where I can do some mangling of the beats. I’m open to other way of doing this, it is just the method I found so far.

To sequence a part change you assign the part to a different pattern and then use pattern change…

The way to do it in one part is just have the flex track on a different track in the same part instead of the same track in a different part.

Hey Mike,

Thank you, i’ll give that a try here in a short bit.
That makes more sense to me that trying to swap parts on the fly when it comes machines.

I’ll see how that goes.
