To all who contribute here.
Have been reading this post for about a year and a half and the stuff i’ve learnt and have been inspired by is absolutely invaluable.
There are the forum hero types like…
Avantronica
Cockoo
TrabanT
Dataline
Nedavine
Mezz303
Seenfromspace
Void
(Not in any particular order)
But the contribution of EVERYONE is what really makes this a place i want to visit every arvo when i get home from work.
I have an MD and A4.
Would love an Elektron rival to the Cirklon, but thats another story.
I think this is a great and pretty damn relevant post. I’m relatively new, started lurking during Elektron-Users and got an Octatrack a few years back. The people on here and EU have been such a huge help. Thank you.
There’s a huge bunch of talented and helpful people on here. These are the kinds of people who get stuff like the crazy 100-or-something-page Machinedrum Tips&Tricks documents compiled (Tarekith!).
I can’t help noting: The guys who get the community forward and contribute great stuff are often the same who don’t get paralyzed by waiting for features and updates on the horizon. It’s a very cool kind of DIYness that got people to tweak the Machinedrum, for instance, to oblivion and beyond (and document the process) – and because of that, new users get instant access to a huge wealth of great tips.
hey guys … I have to say BIG PHAT THANKS to all a ya too! … I cant believe how far I have gotten in the last year, and it is due to THIS forum and off course Elektron …
(I feel very honored to have been named in OPs list !)
i m not on this forum since a long time but could already say thanks to the same guys!
thanks for the help, your patience and to answer our poor newbies questions!!

Looks like a good enough order to me is it…
Height ?
It’s def not hair volume, i’m w Cenk
Jakob is the sadly recently absent hero in my book, so reverse order ! Plus there’s so many more top 'nauts
But yeah, there’s a lot to glean from these forum pages and all contributors, searching for solutions to offer is a great way to learn and to consolidate your chops, it’s a poor substitute for just doing, but it’s a good friendly corner of the internet
I think this is quite a unique community in many ways, and whilst I notice some remark that it isn’t quite the same as Elektron Users for whatever reason, that doesn’t take away from the sense of fellow feeling amongst the various twiddlers that swing by here.
And the great thing is, it’s a bunch of machines that sit at its core.
Not dead, lifeless, inert machines, but machines that shine with the love of creativity that went into their design, waiting to interact with the next lucky user that comes along.
Got to say, the forum was on a shoogly peg for a while in terms of fun and quality but over the past 3 or 4 months has really got some way back to that chilled, informative and funny community elektron-users used to be.
There are a fair few regular users who all deserve praise - but the mention of Nedavine above got me wondering what happened to him! He’s sort of dropped off the radar a bit in terms of form presence here and on Gearslutz. Hope the dude is ok and just beavering away on his excellent tunes.
