Hello, I recently acquired a rhythm electron and I did a calibration and since then I have the impression that the filters sound different from before. What can I do to get it back to normal?
Calibrate when it has been running for an hour, then forget how you felt it sounded before
It is possible to have the same voice configuration on all tracks, so you can compare across tracks, they’re all unlikely to be bad/off

I really feel that the filters and resonance are completely different before it leaves a lot of bass

would it be possible to send my elektron Rytm back to elektron so that they can do a factory calibration for me. because since I did a recalibration. my AR sounds really different from before j. I could make a video soon to show you.
Hey @Aty
Can’t help you with the specifics, but I’d say just contact Elektron support through a support ticket on their website. Their support is very good, and they can discuss with you your options I’m sure.
Since it’s summer holiday it might be a bit longer before they answer your ticket.
Good luck with getting your issue sorted!
I agree that Elektron should be contacted, but you should maybe not hope for a response before September. Vacation is important in Europe.
But I wanted to ask, are we doing paragraph titles now? Because I could really lean into that.

Actually, I disagree with the sentiment you won’t hear back very soon as you aren’t contacting them regarding a correspondence-based remedy, therefore no one in particular needs to take responsibility for troubleshooting with you (although someone may run through some basic troubleshooting to verify no human error is involved, as this has happened with me in the past).
Likely what you’ll be told is that the turn around time is not too quick but if you’re within warranty the service will be at no charge, and if you aren’t in warranty, you may get the same response, or they may say they need to verify what needs to be done before pricing can be established.
Generally, I think when you say would it be possible, the answer is yes. A better question though may be “would it be possible to do this and get my machine back this year” and the answer to that may unfortunately be no. The first step, and only way to find out, is to contact support as was suggested in the other responses. This is strictly opinion that I’m stating but just saying to set your expectations accordingly and I’m sure the results will be more than worth the wait.

From the manual :
Before calibrating, it is important that the unit has been turned on for at least two hours in order to attain working temperature.
Being analog this makes sense. Not sure if temperature might be related to your problem.
As the calibration is a software process it is possible of having a bug. Not saying there is, seems unlikely, but possible. In which case there would be a software fix.
Also from the manual:
Analog Rytm is factory calibrated. It should not be re-calibrated unless specifically stated by Elek-
tron Support.
Not sure of the criteria Elektron support has for telling you to calibrate. They obviously don’t want users doing it for reasons.
Definitely talk the Elektron support.
