C6 working selectively

So I exported a whole bunch of patterns and kits from various projects and want to unite them in one for the purposes of a live set.
However, I find that when I want to import them back into the A4 it is not really working for some of the sysex files. It says it is being sent from the C6 but the A4 is not receiving. Or it does not seem to be sent from the C6 at all.
I am using the TM-1 as a midi interface.
IS THERE A WAY TO AT ALL MAKE THIS WORK RELIABLY? LIKE THE PROFESSIONAL PIECES OF GEAR THAT THEY ARE BEING SOLD AS?

2 things:

using the A4 USB port is likely more reliable than going via the TM-1. Curious why you’re going through the TM-1…?

patterns & kits store their position inside the sysex.
If you send kit 12 from two different projects, the second kit will overwrite the first at position 12. Same with patterns…

Your best bet is to do it one-by-one…

Yes, I did it exactly one by one as I figured the positions are relative. I have a sysex file for each kit and each pattern. But the transfer of some of the files is not working. For patterns.

I thought the TM-1 would be more reliable as it is Elektron’s MIDI utility box. Maybe I should redo the bad ones via the USB.

The amount of admin work I have done for this whole exercise is just unbelievable!

hmm ok… if you select one of the bad patterns/kits in c6, at the bottom it should say what’s in the file, and it should say something like “1 normal pattern”, or if it’s broken, “1 broken pattern” - if it’s displayed ok there, it should be fine on the machine as well.

Plugged my Analog Four into my computer to back it up before we try the individual out mod. It’s worked via USB before. I have it set to USB-MIDI only mode, the A4 shows up legit in Device Manager and the Configure screen of C6. However, when I hit receive on C6 and then send on the A4, nothing happens. I’ve tried multiple USB ports and cables. Any ideas?

Seriously, can someone help me out here? I can’t get sysex backup working with the Analog Four and C6 and I gotta back some stuff up before I go try the individual out mod with my buddy next weekend. Is there an alternative that I can use?

C6 works perfectly with my Monomachine but won’t recognize the A4. It shows up in the configure window for MIDI I/O. I have the A4 set to USB-MIDI ONLY. I tried sending it via MIDI ports, but that didn’t work either.

EDIT: I managed to get it working via the MIDI ports, but still no luck via USB. It’s taking foooooreeeeever.
