C6 not recognising OCTATRACK

Anyone else ever had this problem? I’m trying to update to the latest OS but C6 isn’t recognising the OT under configurations. Usb disc mode is working fine and C6 has no problem picking up my Analog Rytm. What could be the problem?

usb for card ONLY
octa midi communications via DIN only

Yep. Not sure how useful c6 will be for you beyond os, i tend to do everything in usb disk mode tbh and if you’re updating os via a cheap usb>midi it could get messy, usb disk mode or card reader to drop the bin file may be more robust if you are gentle with the card

yeah it uses the CF card so you need a USB cable only. delete the .bin file from the card and replace it with the new OS & exit USB disk mode.
Then you can do the OS update without having the cable connected

Honestly, not strange at all, the OctaTrack is not and never has been a usb class compliant device, it only acts as a usb card reader if you like, that’s it, newer products are class compliant, nothing strange, just different and always will be
