Button barely functioning / Clean / Replace

Hey anyone know how to get inside this button so I can try to clean it?
I have to press it 5 times for it to work once and it’s getting old.
Do I have to desolder? It looks well-contained but I need to do something.

First things first.
Have you raised a ticket with elektron support? Always follow their advise before listening to any of us forum users.

Ive repaired my OT my self, I attempted to replace some burned diodes, messed it up, and ended up replacing the entire UI board. Good news is, the board is cheap, very easy to install.

You can attempt to clean the switch with solvents or similar, personally Wouldnt try desoldering, that board is fussy.

Elektron support is very good in my experience. Definitely start there. Good luck.

Thanks. I put in a ticket with support. I am very sloppy with soldering so I would have to hire that out. Luckily there’s a local tv repair guy here that is good at it. I will update this thread when something happens.

Update: Support was nice and quick to respond. It took a couple weeks for the part to arrive, and the local TV repair guy did the solder job for 7 USD.
