Building hardwood siderails/elevation cases for elektron boxes

hey yo,

got some nice hardwood and was going to whip up some siderails and base to give my octatrack an elevated angle, was just wondering if anyone had seen any nice examples of diy hardwood sexyness for elektron stuff online?, some inspiration perhaps?

cheers

Endcheeks are good but i prefer the cradle style for easily removing the box… (i made both)… makes using the machines less straining on the eyes and back… do it!

note… grooves for the feet to stop the a4 sliding out, side grooves for the air vents, cheeks sit 5mm lower than the faceplate for the dust cover

+1 on using a cradle style enclosure.

Here’s my humble effort. One day I’d like to redo it with a nice hardwood and use better tools.

Probably not relevant if you’re only looking to build a single stand though - just felt like showing off… :joy:

nice stuff guys cheers, think im gonna go for the cradle bit with some nice thick hardwood, can you guys point me in the right direction of the screw size for the octatrack?

cheers!

Thanks! Mine hasn’t been screwed in, so I’m afraid I can’t offer anything in that regard. It’s actually supported by an angled shelf behind it (hence the screws) and two small sets of inset brackets below the front to stop it sliding down.

Looking forward to maybe seeing the finished product!

hey,

warning for the screws
use only 4mm inside the elektron gear
for exemple if you have a stand with 10mm thickness use screws 14mm
