My scene locks are overriding my parameter locks, even when the crossfader is not moving. This is pretty annoying, as both the scene locks and parameter locks deal with pretty crucial parameters which I’d like to be affected by both. This is also not how the OT was designed, as on pg 61 of the manual it says scene locks will only override parameter locks when the crossfader is moving. Does anyone else have this issue?

I don’t think this is a bug. I think the manual means “scene locks have priority over plocks, period.” Forget that bit about the crossfader moving.

mm, this could be. perhaps as english isnt elektrons first language, they just didnt phrase the functionality clearly. it would be nice for this to be optional.

The most practical thing to do in order to prevent this being a problem
is have all your scene locks on the right (scene B)
this way when your on the left (scene A) the scene is neutral and all your P-Locks stay as is

i think, irrespective of the ambiguous language, i’d be surprised if when i moved the fader to position x it then suddenly adopted underlying trig values - so for me it works in a good way

the performance mode on the a4 is more clever, in that it always only applies an offset ! so underlying plocks still add a factor to the pattern

I would agree if this was an option…sometime overriding is the way someone needs

the idea of plocks working as an offset is quite cool. i would say though that it would be a little more useful for me to have plocks remain intact, despite scenes. for instance, if youve plocked a melody using pitch, you could change the scene to alter all the un-plocked notes. similarly interesting results could be had using start and rate parameters. as it is, scene locking flattens all the plocks and makes rather dynamic sequences a bit less interesting.

just mute both scenes to get that effect
