So I have had my RYTM crash 3 times, all from the same thing. When the sequencer is running I go to save a Kit by pressing YES/KIT, but I accidentally hit YES/SOUND very often when I do this the RYTM full on crashes. Screen goes goes blank(still lit up) and it squeals until you turn it off.
doesn’t freeze when saving sounds here. narrowing down the scenario…
does it only happen with certain kits / projects? is your AR MIDI-slaved? etc…
AR is running stand alone (well, with Strom 
). NO midi sync. It usually happens when I’m in the zone creating and I realize I’ve done enough to want to save my Kit and Pattern. Next time it happens, I’ll try to mark down exactly what screen I was in, and any details that might be relevant.
happens to me too, I reported it in the bugs thread a long time ago, never heard back.
I’ve had this happening a couple of times as well when pressing yes+sound. Belive both times was while the sequencer was running.

The sound browser & sound saving functions have some serious crashing bugs
I hope Elektron makes fix for this. I still haven’t brought a Elektron RYTM, but I won’t use a unstable machine for live use 
So I wont buy this unit until they can confirm that this bug has been fixed

Yep, this has happened to me too. I turn off the sequencer before going into the sound menu now, just in case.
Cannot replicate this.

[Played a seven hour impro club techno live set last saturday, with the AR slaved to my OT, slaved to E-RM midiclock (no Strom, no saving while sequencer is running), AR did not crash once - should I count myself lucky?]

yea I’m using the AR like, all the time. I’ve seen it freeze, but could not replicate this particular sound menu crash so far.
I seem to recall experiencing something like this on my first day with the Rytm. Have not experienced it since. Just to make sure, everyone experiencing these crashes is running the latest version of the OS?
Had this happen to me on day one, honestly can’t remember what I did, but I remember I had to reboot to get rid of the high pitch whine noise.
only had mine for a week and it crashed 4 times already last night when setting up scenes sample change and another time loading samples into a pad…it only can run again if i reload the kit otherwise it crashes instantly again…
any had that problem?
