Boutique collectors come forth!

A lot of SH-01a love here. I’m tempted. Also looking at the JX-08.

I’m interested to know if people use SH-01a mainly for bass or leads, or both, or as it is poly now something else?

Thanks

It sounds really nice as poly

The SH-01a sliders are actually a tiny bit longer than those on the MC-202, so perfectly useable and easy to dial (slide!) in exact values. I have not compared them to a SH-101 but those have 30mm travel versus about 20mm on the SH-01a/MC-202.

Looking for a used JU-06A
JX-08 incoming

Love the SH in poly mode, instant jazzy Detroit tech territory.

Have an opportunity to buy an older boutique JU-06, is it worth saving for the Ju-06a? Does the newer boutique add a lot sound palette wise?

A complete extra synth. It models the 106 and the 60.
And you get delay and a better sequencer.

You also get the arp and chord memories :+1:t2:

I received my JU-06A yesterday and I’m really pleased with it. Much nicer than the JU-06 that I had.

That’s what I thought, mind you the price is right, and I would be sequencing with the Octatrack. It’s very tempting.

I also don’t remember the JU-06 having multiple LFO shapes, LFO tempo sync or LFO key trigger.

I just ordered the JX-08. It’s coming on Wednesday. Does anyone have one yet? What do you think of it?

One thing that pisses me off about the Boutiques is the shit “manual” - fucking green, multi language, huge sheet of paper with tiny font. 0/10 on that score.

That’s almost with any Roland or Korg product…but I agree, I dislike that too. :-1:

Phenomenal. Best boutique yet and I’ve owned them all.

Agreed. Thank god for Sunshine Jones and his SH-01a manual. That’s how it’s done :+1:

Started with the TB-03, then got the SH-01A (then sold it, then bought it again because I missed it), and I just grabbed the TR-06. THAT thing is fun, especially using the trigger outputs on the TB-03.

Love these little boxes. Still wish I had bought the TR-09 when they made it. Seeing people jacking up prices on them now is…sad.

Holy moly - just looked on Reverb and the TR-09 is $650+ used

That’s wild. Guess I’ll never sell mine cause I wont be able to buy another one.

Telling y’all - grab a TR-08 before they go out of production

If you’re patient you can get a TR-09 cheaper than that. Got mine on ebay for £300 ($400) a few months ago.
