I’ve had both of those from their release (plus Comp and Graphic EQ) … 80s throwback pic alert!..
i don’t recall it being too problematic (some old boss pedals are 12v, just check it’s not a 12v/9v thing) but i used it more often as a delay
If you are still having issues I can try out a similar configuration so you have an A/B comparison to gauge whether yours is behaving properly
