Blank Part

Hi There,

I have a question related to Parts en Patterns, and for some reason I cannot find it in the manual.

So when I create a pattern the default setting is that it using part number one. When I want to create a new pattern, I can select a new part.
For some reason it seems to copy in the part 1 settings into part 2. Is there a way to start with a complete blank part?

Another thing I seem to experience is that when I move from pattern1 which is using part one, to the next pattern which is using a part 2, the loops continuo to play on, even if there are no triggers for that sample in the new pattern. How can I make sure when I switch from pattern one to the next pattern the looped samples stop?

Thank you!

Jo

You can use copy/clear/paste commands in the part menu.

There is an option to make tracks start silent in the Control>Sequencer section under the project settings. Press function plus midi (project) and scroll down to control. This will make patterns linked to new parts enter the amp release stage instead of, for instance, looping infinitely.

There is also a per track ‘start silent’ command available in the pattern edit menu. With the step record led unlit, press func+bank (edit) and scroll to each track you want to start silent. These settings are retained within each pattern versus an entire project like the above method.

Great, the silence per track is great, many thanks.

For some reason I can’t get the the blank part not started. Even if I use the clear command ( assuming you mean function play) in the part menu, it does not clear the part.
