I literally had a dream last night, that I ordered black enclosures for my MKII Rytm and A4. Anyone else wish they could do that, or is it just me?
If someone hasn’t done it already someone will — design an overlay for the Mk II hardware that will allow you to have them look any way you please.
Here’s an example from StyleFlip for the Mk I RYTM. (Can’t vouch for the quality of this, never bought from StyleFlip.)
Yeah, I’ve seen some of those (online, never in person). It’s just not the same though 
You’re right it’s not the same, it’s better — you could have the old or the new look any way you want. What’s wrong with that ?

Considering the rounded edges on the MKII’s though, I’m not really sure anyone will be able to create proper stickers for them. I think that’s likely why we haven’t already seen them. If someone with the right equipment could make stencils for the top, a nice powder coat would be cheap/easy to get done.

there probably will be, but officially it still won’t be something that Elektron offer for sale, just to put that info out there before any excitement builds around this topic

Yeah, good call. I definitely wasn’t insinuating that I actually thought this would be possible. It would be a cold day in hell before Elektron let us do that

Just gonna say I inquired about buying a black enclosure for my grey OTMKII and was told that I couldn’t since it wasn’t originally black.

I think what you were trying is nowadays called blackfacing. I can understand that Elektron cannot risk their reputation in these times. #woke
