Birthday choice

DNII makes the most sense to me mainly for the same reasons it has for others - you’re already used to the Elektron workflow and anything else you learn moving forward generally applies to both. Other advantages are things like form factor/aesthetic is the same, Overbridge (and how that works is the same as DTII), dead easy to get them to play nice with each other.

Serious answer: buy a midi controller and learn to play.

Money spent answer: if you want to keep messing with elektron get a tonverk.
