Big problems with effects

So i was just just using the performance mode in one of the pads. Everything was fine. But once I released the pad i was using the performance mode on. Two separate tracks reverb and delay dropped. Both tracks levels on Amp and the fx page haven’t moved, but you can barely hear any reverb or delay at all now. I even tried turning up the volume and delay on both pages, but there was little change that you could notice. Has anyone else experienced this? Its driving me nuts!

Any help would be great :slight_smile:

Seems to me that your FX suddenly got back to the legacy mode…

check reverb and delay volume in fx section

and us pre rvb and dly setting compressor at disto page

My Legacy mode is off, and all of my volume levels are as high as they can go. I switched the delay and reverb and delay to pre and it did give it some a boost that it still had. Ive never switched those settings since i can remember buying the machine. Do you guys keep your delay on pre? Is my machine buggy after the update? or am i just loosing my mind :sweat_smile:

I just switched to a new project and the reverb was fine. when i switched back. i set all of my reverb and delay settings to the same parameters, and it is still non existent :unamused:

Maybe your project is crippled ?
Do you replicate this on another project ?

When you update, best thing to do is save your current project, create a new one, save it, update, get back to your project.
@AdamJay)

hmmm. well i made this project after updating to 1.30. if i save this project that has the faulty fx. bounce this over into a new project. I will need to update the machine again?

No, if this project was made after the update, it’s not crippled from the updating operation obviously :wink:

Damn. Have no clue was passiert. :black_joker:

=> Ticket to :3lektron: !!

and the “send to fx” routing is all in the green too, right? just a thought…

I’m not sure. Where is the “send to fx” ? I stepped away from the unit at the moment

havent read the thread so this might already be answered. but here’s my answer to your question:

do you use individual outs for your tracks? if you do its pretty normal that you dont hear the effects. they are on the main out only. but its not a big issue - just make a track for the main out from the rytm and record/monitor that as well. now your effects are back again and you have the freedom to work on them separately. its a bit weird but i got used to it and it really has some advantages (sidechain your whole fx-track, adjust the levels afterwards, eq the fx-track and so on)

@subbz2k here is the starting post :slight_smile:

Thanks man! But I read this above as well and I actually only run through the main outs. It’s weird how the fx are fine when I change to a new project. Even if I have all parameters and fx settings set the same. Im thinking it has to be a bug in the performance mode. That’s when it dropped. When I unmuted both faulty tracks while in performance mode :confused:

Maybe, just to test this, try to set “Legacy FX” on, try to play with your pattern, then set is off, see if you notice a change.

Another thing : when you play with a Performance pad (or a Scene), it stays stuck if you go to another page (e.g. mutes) until you come back to the Perf (or Scene) page and unlock the pad by hitting it.
When a Perf or Scene is locked like this, the Perf (or Scene) LED is showing a little bit of light…
You know this ?
Have you checked this ?

Loom is not coming back on his thread since 13 days guys, I guess he find the solution :slight_smile:

I could hear a positive difference with the legacy mode enabled. But nothing close to what it used to be before all this came about.
Also, the performance mode lock is how this all came about. I had a rim shot on performance mode p locking the lfo envelope, and I purposely switched to the mute page so the performance value was stuck on that rim shot. The two separate faulty pads (CH & LT)are the only ones with reverb and delay. I started muting and unmuting all three pads, but once I deactivated the performance mode with all three playing and not muted, that’s when the fx dropped on the two tracks

ok, my fault - thx for the hint :smiley: guess i should read through everything first before writing an answer :wink:

Nah, it’s a big thread, I merged it cause @JayNem83 had posted a duplicate, but I’m not sure it was really relevant… My bad :cold_sweat:

thinking about this … short question: do you overbridge? and do you do this on PC?

i had several audio drop out problems while having the Rytm connected via OB on my PC. and there was even more weird stuff going on. when patterns changed, performances suddenly got stuck. this was due to sync problems i had on the PC. so - although i was releasing the pad, the performance stored on it got stuck when the pattern changed or repeated. you could tell by the dimmed light it still had - that was the value it got stuck to. only option was to reload the kit and hit the performance pad again - that has reset it.

have you tried your jam with the Rytm NOT connected to any computer at all? do you have the same problems with your effects in that case? or does everything work fine? i have a hunch that this may be an OB related problem …
