Makes sense to me. If you’re doing your final mix in-machine you’d use the onboard effects. If you’re dumping one or more tracks out individually you’re probably going to further process them externally, which means you’d probably want just the unaffected sound.

Too Debug: But nobody told us that the FX and Comp only works on the master channel. They are making promotion with their FX/Comp and single Outputs, but dont say that this just works on main out.

I wanted to use the comp inside because i dont have an external analog comp. I wanted to get away from my Computer… now i have an analog drum synth which tells me I COULD do everything without the pc or external Effects, just with hands on this machine. But in the end I have to use my mac again because i cant use the internal FX in my single outs? That’s not cool!

This reaons where part of the decision for me to buy the synth because i thought i could save some money.

Dont get me wrong. I love the Rytm.
But it seems not so well-thought-out as the Analog Four.
Hope they will come with some fixes, especially some track parameters are a little bit thin provided. (HiHat…)
Otherwise i will resell it and buy me different machines plus effects.

If you want to compress each track, and use the individual outputs, you need as many compressors as outputs.

If you only have one compressor, once the signal goes into it, you can’t “separate” the individual instruments to send them on the individual outs. It’s technically not possible.

So what you want to do would require 8 compressors.

Same for the delay and reverb : If you want the reverb signal of your kick only to send it to the kick individual out, then you need a reverb and delay that is only for the kick.

Same thing for all instruments.

So you need 8 compressors, 8 distortions and 8x2 digital effects.

Not the same price, not the same use.

The specifications says
MASTER EFFECTS:

The other effects are listed as SEND.

Okay if had seen this tab i propably could know it. Your’re right!
But but i mean promotion whise they dont tolld that. And on the packaging i mean its doesn’t markt too. But i’m not really shure about that and don’t wanna say something wrong.

I was a little bit explosiv becaus i was so pissy that there are just master reverb/delay. Because compared with elektron sequencer it could give some nice possibilitys.
Beside this i can’t use the compressor

I just had this problem after playing in performance mode. Both delay and reverb dropped. Even though I have the levels high on both the amp and fx page. Did you a fix. Please help!

So i was just just using the performance mode in one of the pads. Everything was fine. But once I released the pad i was using the performance mode on. Two separate tracks reverb and delay dropped. Both tracks levels on Amp and the fx page haven’t moved, but you can barely hear any reverb or delay at all now. I even tried turning up the volume and delay on both pages, but there was little change that you could notice. Has anyone else experienced this? Its driving me nuts!

Any help would be great

My Legacy mode is off, and all of my volume levels are as high as they can go. I switched the delay and reverb and delay to pre and it did give it some a boost that it still had. Ive never switched those settings since i can remember buying the machine. Do you guys keep your delay on pre? Is my machine buggy after the update? or am i just loosing my mind

I just switched to a new project and the reverb was fine. when i switched back. i set all of my reverb and delay settings to the same parameters, and it is still non existent

Maybe your project is crippled ?
Do you replicate this on another project ?

When you update, best thing to do is save your current project, create a new one, save it, update, get back to your project.

hmmm. well i made this project after updating to 1.30. if i save this project that has the faulty fx. bounce this over into a new project. I will need to update the machine again?

havent read the thread so this might already be answered. but here’s my answer to your question:

do you use individual outs for your tracks? if you do its pretty normal that you dont hear the effects. they are on the main out only. but its not a big issue - just make a track for the main out from the rytm and record/monitor that as well. now your effects are back again and you have the freedom to work on them separately. its a bit weird but i got used to it and it really has some advantages (sidechain your whole fx-track, adjust the levels afterwards, eq the fx-track and so on)

Thanks man! But I read this above as well and I actually only run through the main outs. It’s weird how the fx are fine when I change to a new project. Even if I have all parameters and fx settings set the same. Im thinking it has to be a bug in the performance mode. That’s when it dropped. When I unmuted both faulty tracks while in performance mode
