Posting this in the general Elektron section for visibility. I assume some of the various mk1 (and maybe mk2) models share the same LEDs, but fwiw I’m working with an Analog Four.
Basically I’m red/green colorblind and the bi-color LEDs are really tough for me to differentiate. I want to change the colors. I spend a lot of time doing synthDIY so swapping them out isn’t a problem, but I was wondering if anyone happened to know whether they’re common anode or cathode? Would rather not have to buy two types of LEDs to test.
Good luck with the LED swap. I think companies are starting to wise up to accessibility issues like red/green colorblindness and designing gear with those things in mind.
Yeah, it’s kept me from being able to use some gear in the past. I was a Kickstarter backer for the KMI QuNeo but I had to sell it because the interface was based heavily on red/green color-coding. Same story with the Launchpad—always wanted to try it but knew it would be a struggle.
Luckily the A4 uses through-hole LEDs, so swapping them out isn’t too difficult (aside from the fact that there’s like 60 of them ).
