I see ! Not possible to copy / paste from DN2 to TV yet ! You can try to record midi TV indeed, quantized or not…
I think I got used to TV step edit, now I’d probably be more confused using DN2’s !

Hahaha, that feature would be awesome!!
Impressive !
Thanks for all these measurements.
Of course, it’s not actually instantly.
it’s my perception. Like I said, I can’t feel the latency.
So for my use case, that’s good enough.
Had to do these, I hope they are not wrong; it was warping my head last night ! And results were surprising in a good way as it seems possible to have 2-3-4 ms depending on setup, TV slave or master.
I originally thought I’d want TV master with DN2 for lowest latency (TV into DN2 would be 2 ms), without using TV inputs for DN2, but 4 ms with DN2 master DN2 and into TV is acceptable…
I’m away from my TV and DN2 at the moment.
Does that make sense to have the following configuration ?
Make sense.
I prefer DN2 keyboard ! And DN2 arp is synced to beat, not TVs case (only sync to tempo).
So @askf @Holografik @Kubase1, seems like DN2 master is the good choice when DN2 is plugged in TV.
Thanks! Good to have it confirmed with measurements, I was just going by ear.
thanks for details very accurate.
Cool !
I’ll try that configuration when back home tomorrow.
It doesn’t harm to have a better synchronization ![]()
Also good point on the DN2 arp.
Thanks.
Thank you for that info.
Yes, it felt a bit tighter when I switched from TV to DN2 as clock master.
The configuration works great.
@sezare56 ,
The Tv arp is also sync to the beat (1/4, 1/8, …) like the DN2 arp.
Maybe this has changed in recent TV firmwares.

Not what I experienced, just checked : I you play live there is no beat quantize, just tempo sync.
On the DN when you play live it is quantized to 16th, quantized to the sequencer grid and tempo (depends on Scale multiplier).
Well, I’ve only checked with my new configuration.
The TV is synced to the DN2.
When I set the same Speed setting on both the TV arp and the DN2 arp, they have the same behavior.
I haven’t done other tests.
They don’t. Hoping this video will be better than my explanations…
On the Digitone, notes are forced to be in sync. Not on Tonverk. Unless you found a workaround?
I’ve understood what you mean !
And you’re right. Sync to the beat for the DN2 !
I tend to play on the beat and so have not noticed the difference.
Thanks for taking the time for clarifying that.
You made me doubt ! ![]()
With DN2 you also have layers, so you can trigger arp with different speed and quantize settings on several tracks (page speed multiplier defines quantize)
Whats the best current way of using DN2 with TV. I keep seeing conflicting reports about which is better for latency to have as the master.
In short, DN2 (as master clock) MIDI out into TV.
In addition, you can have :
See the post from sezare56 if you need some measures.
Depends on audio routing…
Smallest latency with TV master.
If you plugged DN2 audio in TV : use DN2 master.
