I considered getting an iOS DAW, looked at some videos and discussions and quickly decided against. Too fidley, lacking features of full versions, numerous issues. If you’ve got desktop DAW, I really don’t see the point.
I’ve tried most of them and tend to come back to Cubasis. Since starting the Elektron journey I’ve started using Ableton as a glorified tape recorder instead of Cubasis, though
Auria seems to be the most well equipped iOS daw, but I could never gel with the fiddly midi sequencing
Don’t forget about Beatmaker 3 - an absolute beast of an iPad DAW!
I have used auria just as a tape recorder, you can’t make mp3s and the interface with Dropbox has never worked for me. But it’s good as an easy recorder. The fabfilter plugins sound ok to me.
Multitrack DAW is great, I find using iPad as a DAW is PITA. It’s not powerful enough to handle more then 1-2 apps at a time. (My Air 1 struggles)…
The multitrack daw is the lightest app and records Audio only. Not bad, specially the new version.
