Hey, I made very simple house/electro beats and I want to get away from the computer. I’m looking for the best device for my needs (elektron or anything else) :

  • Good sound quality
  • Sequencing sampled drums
  • Other sampled sounds
  • Sync with external synths (maybe sequence it too)
  • Multiple audio outputs for external mixer
  • Optional FX (compressor, reverb, delay)

Maybe octatrack ? Analog rhythm ? Anything else ?
Thank you !
PS : sorry, my English sucks… (I’m French by the way  )

Salut mad94!

It seems what you need is a digitakt! It will cover all your needs exept the multiple output
You can find one used at a resonnable price, and it’s easy to learn if it’s your first elektron.

I’ve never owned one, but if I were you I’d check out the MPC 1000. Most samplers that are out right now would probably meet all of your criteria except for the multiple outs bit. And the ones that do have multiple outs are significantly more expensive. There are a lot of MPC 1000s out there going for really good prices.

If you have the money - I think rytm mk2 meets all requirements.

Multiple outputs are kind of rare nowadays.

I could recommend MC-707 or Digitakt, for different styles of music. Do you have any examples of tracks? Also what other gear do you intend to use/sequence with it?

Pioneer SP-16 maybe. Not an Elektron but worth a look if you can find a good price secondhand.

Octatrack might be tempting, but if it’s your first Elektron device, I’d go Digitakt first and see how you go before diving into the slightly obscure and endlessly deep yet confusing world of the Octatrack.

Mc707 ticks most of those boxes

Digitakt. No multiple Outputs but you can do a very decent Mix in the box. Later on, if you want to go for a hybrid setup, Overbridge will give you those individual Outputs.

ARMKII won’t get you deep into sample manipulation but it sounds so good!

+1 for Octatrack. Tu vas avoir le cerveau qui fume un peu mais ça vaut le coup

With all the requirements you have pushed.
OT seem to be the best choice.
DT could be a good one also, easier, faster.
Mpc Live won’t disappoint you on the feature set.

Bonne chance
