Behringer Pro-1

So, the Pro-1 receives note, mod wheel AND pitchbend right?

Might sound like a stupid question, but I only read everywhere that it can receive note and mod wheel via midi.

Maybe for most it’s clear that note includes pitchbend. But I just want to make shure, before I buy

seems like it does, cause people were complaining about a pitchbend error that got fixed in a firmware. damn that manual is useless

anyone here still using it? such a rad synth

but I’m having problems with midi hickups

the bro-1 is connected via usb to my daw and via midi-cable to my digitakt - that is also connected to my daw via usb

running the bro-1 with a digitakt via midi-cable I have no problemos

as soon as I also plug in the usb cable, the bro-1 is glitching out midi-wise

I also have a barp 2600 in the same situation with no problemos. so, it must be the bro-ones fault. damn buddy!

however, I can live with it. but if anyone maybe found a synthtribe app option that stopped this, hit me up

Do they support midi over usb and din simultaneously? I know a lot of synths don’t. I’ve had problems updating firmware over usb when I’ve had a din cable in at the same time (and it’s been receiving clock etc) with a few synths

id guess some crazy feedback loop of midi usb going to usb midi being resent to usb / midi etc.

i typically just use 1 x method at a time… if youve got ‘midi sync’ turned to auto on synthtribe it might also get very confused.

Well, I don’t even open anything on the computer part. No DAW, nothing midi. I just need to plug it in via USB with no programm open. But I will test some more. And like I said, it works fine with other synths, just not with the bro-1

Anybody played with both the pro-1 and repro-1? Care to comment? I’m really enjoying Repro-1 but I’m wondering if I would enjoy more having the actually knobs to play with. At the same though, I feel the FX and mod matrix of Repro-1 bring a lot to the table.

the sound is completely different, try it yourself
re-pro is a good soft synth, and pro-1/bro-1 is an analog fat electric synth

Never used either but from what I’ve seen the Behringer comes closest to the OG (which I have) of all their semi Modular’s. Considering they both use the same (Curtis/CoolAudio) chips and architecture it shouldn’t come as a surprise tho
