Its a play on Cthulu(an eldritch/lovecraftian horror monster where the real horror is how massive this creature is- that to see it is to lose yourself to madness)

Oh, I’ve wanted to “protect” Arturia here in comments…
But let’s be fair about the Keystep Pro too:
it’s a medium-quality product with a not low price.
The keys are near horrible. You can’t get a good response like you do with Fatar keys (as the industry standard). They are crappy like from cheap Chinese synths practically!
These rubber playback buttons are bad. You can miss a moment when you need to start/stop something or switch. I’ve tried this MIDI controller in a shop and I was frustrated about the overall feeling. Punching these rubber bastards constantly to be sure that you’ll not miss a moment is not “energy saving” and not silent too BTW.
KeyStep 37 is OK but generally because we have no other alternatives with similar features (not counting Swing). KS37 is too heavy and IDK why it was made like that. Yeah, it stops me from taking it with me on trips. I’ll better take Microfreak + Volca Modular (or it could be something else if I’ve have it) and it will be still less heavy.
I really hope that Behringer will not repeat the same stupid solution with rubber playback keys!
But looks like they do it yet ))
The best choice about that are Elektron devices with their “plastic calculator” keys which gives you the immediate and sharp response. IDK anybody who is happy with sluggish rubber keys especially if there is no velocity function connected in the same place.
