Beg Audio over usb issues help please! mac

Hey all,

having issues with my audio over usb on mac. having issues merging my scarlett with the digitakt. when i set it up on the midi devices and merge them , i can’t get the audio in ableton. when i test the digitakt as input and out, i can only get the audio when the audio track is set to in which i don’t like as it incurs recording lag. is this possible to play audio over usb whilst having it in off mode? plus my previous issue. would like it all set up as an aggregate and for all the audio to come through on the off setting on the monitoring on the audio channel ?

sorry if i have repeated myself.

Hey, I don’t use Ableton but I use the Digitakt along with two Scarlett interface in Logic. On Mac it should be pretty straightforward, go to Audio MIDI Setup and create a new device, select both the Digitakt and the Scarlett and rename it “Digitakt+Scarlett” or whatever you like. Then select this interface in Ableton and you should have all the inputs from both device available, same for the outputs. Then you can just route everything as you like.

hey thanks for the reply,

i have tried this and it did not work for me unfortunately.

Create Aggregate Device with Scarlett and DT…youll get more IN/OUTs cuz of the DT.
have you set the DT to to follow your Scarlet’s clock?

AudioMIDISetup > Audio Devices > check Drift Correction for the DT

select newly created Aggregate Device in Ableton for audio in and out.

that should werk. DT audio should sync up. it may be a smidge off…but it will be inaudible.

yea i had this setting too unfortunately but thanks

do your sample rates match? Ableton. Scarlett? [might be a stupid question]

another stupid question, but covering all bases…is your DT set to USB mode?
I forget sometimes what mode I’m set in.

…is it plugged in? :grimacing: [trying for the joke]

yeah both on 48, thanks
