Sorry, it’s late

no dont
be sorry i was awake
yeah i was
playing my digitone too
and i should be dreaming
but there i was
it makes more sense late
at night i play my Digitone too
when the walls bend inward
my graffitti peeling like chewed off nails
spat out on to curling linoleum
im a beautiful synth i say
brushing my teeth to the pulp
im a beautiful synth i say combing
my hair right out
the sounds i make
peaceful
shhhh.

Edit: Write drunk, edit sober.

Possibilites
Worlds awaiting nascent breath
A little black box

Not quite Pandora’s
But she would feel right at home
Twiddling the knobs

I wish I had one
I guess I will have to wait
Til the next pay cheque

There once was a poster above
With not enough cash to dispose of
But who needs large meals
when the GASing is real
And you want to feel Digitone love

I’ll stop now.

I love a good lymeric

Yeah the Digitone invokes altered states of consciousness and sweet poetry with it’s vast array of timbres and textures. It’s a magical box from the old attic. :last_quarter_moon_with_face:

I’m sorry I couldnt furnish you with one.

Have a look for Isaac Asimov’s limericks.

They’re good, but pure filth

any good lymeric ought to be pretty filthy , to my mind.
“There once was a man from Nantuckett…”
and so on…
just game recognize game, player!
i do love the lymeric form…

wanting a synth

and then remembering
the D
the keys
the tones
the flex, the turns, the twists
Expanded and expressive
An instrument, dreamily

i wrote a lymeric about one of my old bosses…

its appropriately filthy.

There Once was a man named Tommy
Who liked to play Hide the Salami
In the arena of sex
He was known as T-Rex
But when he came
He cried for his Mommy
my form is off… but there it is…

There once was a company of Swedes
Who would fulfil the Synthesist’s needs
Indupitably inscrutable
Aesthetically beautiful
And liable to make your ears bleed

(In a good way…)

Writing poetry
Of dubious quality
Too much time at work

Roses are red
Violets are blue
My balls are itching
Are yours too?

 So Beautiful…

Your balls may be violet
And red from the scratching
But can you be sure
It’s not crabs that are hatching?

I feel like someone should edit his Wikipedia page and add: He was also an avid Digitone user

My friend did that with the Wikipedia entry for Steak Diane and gave himself credit for inventing it. It stayed up for a shocking length of time before it reverted…
