Beatstep pro vs Octatrack vs digitakt

Ok, kinda click bait title because the comparison is ridiculous but here goes…

In love with my dark twins (ar and a4) but missing midi (and underusing some of my hardware synths i really like). Selling my moog sub phatty today so have 600 bucks. Original idea was to get a minitaur and a strymon pedal (i’m mostly into small footprint synths) and use cv from the a4 and using my ipad for midi sequencing everyonce in a while. Other option is the minitaur and a beatstep pro to handle midi (any love from eleoktronauts?). Or scrapping that and getting a digitakt again just for midi and some loops. But might be overkill without giving me much more than i have or that i can do cheaply with the beatstep pro. Or saving a bit for the ot mk1. Or sitting in it and waiting to get a mk 2.

I say you go with a Digitakt or the OT. With both you’ll get the sampling capabilities plus midi. I’ve recently gone pretty much to exclusively using my OT for midi control of my various synths, and I couldn’t be happier. With the OT/DT you get 8 midi tracks, whereas the BSP you get 3. I had a BSP but sold it once I got the OT. The OT/DT is a lot more bang for your buck than if you got a BSP. Plus you already have the AR/A4 and might as well complete your Dark Trinity
