Dr. Dre is going to finally release Detox and this is some type of crazy marketing scheme (product red ipod signed by U2 still one of their best selling products to date)
haha i dunno, but 3 billion is so steep. There must be some patents around the corner related to the headphones/wearable tech that Apple is hiding.
It would be awesome if iTunes ends up challenging streaming services by providing proximity based streaming without an internet connection. Public playlists can be discovered like wi-fi signals and you can simply tune in to someone’s playlist in-situ.
Those beats headphones are hideous as is though 
On the streaming side Beats bought Mog and now Apple has Beats so they can try to compete against their main streaming competitor Spotify.
Never liked the Beats headphones but they are a cash cow. The profit margin on them is crazy.
lol. big deal. apple buys lot’s of stuff. makes it apple only… like logic etc.
beats is branching out as part of phones, laptops etc… beats is popular… apple is into that kind of thing. it’s not surprising they’d go after something like that and make it their own.
i’ve never thought of apple as some standard bearer for credibility though. they’re a big ass corporation.
beats headphones are consumer grade phones. apple is all about consumers… “get yer ipods, iphones ipads… and some beats headphones. only available at apple.”
