Battery controlled midi keys for digitakt?

Hi there wondering if anyone has tried out a korg nano control studio or similar battery powered usb midi controller with the digitakt, in theory would be awesome, just cant find any examples.
Thanks

I don’t think you can send USB Midi directly from a controller, but I could be mistaken

You’re not mistaken; you need something like the Kenton MIDI USB Host for this.

I’d recommend a Keystep if you want a nice compact keyboard that has DIN MIDI ports among its outputs. It’s not battery-powered, but neither is the DT. You can power it with a USB battery pack though.

Ah spewin, would be amazing if some of these compact controllers worked, ive been using an old korg microx that has 4 programmable knobs in 3 banks and works ok, was jus looking for more portable battery powered solution with pads and more knobs

Monologue should work and it even comes with a built in monosynth.

And it has an absolutely excellent keybed. I really with Korg would do a stand-alone controller keyboard with those keys, maybe combined with 8 or 16 CC pots.

yes the monolgue looks great and like it works nicely with the digitakt, will persevere with the microx for now it does what i need but its on board sound engine is unexciting i can program piles of layers of drums and backing instruments and works fine as digitakt controller for now but def keen on that monologue and not too expensive for what it is

a bit overkill and chunky, but the Novation Remote series is battery powerable

pics of range inc original mk2 compact keyless

original is definitely okay for battery power and I’m sure there are lots of comparable discontinued devices that are a bit smaller too - but they are well specified and may be reasonable $ s/h if you can find one

I’d look at control by a MIDI app on a tablet to get the flexibility if you only need sliders and buttons
