Whats a good machine for generating a bass line on the Rytm I am getting reasonable results from the Tom machine with a low octave tuning.
An tips that you can share?
The BT as you suggest but have you also tried any low key single cycle waveforms. I think samples would be easier to tune than analog circuits and also easier to play in chromatic mode.
I think most of the machines work for a bassline! I especially like the FM kick drum since it can do some interesting textures. Don’t forget to add some parameter slides here and there on the pitch for some rubbery sounding bass.

I grabbed the AR808 pack (the synthesis one, not the samples). That BT bass tom makes a mindblowingly good sub.
