Hi,

I just got my first hardware the A4. I just wanted to check a couple things:

How many sounds does it come with (presets)?
How do I install the sound packs? (The manual isn’t clear)
Is there an idiots guide to the file structuring/hierarchy?

I’ve managed to start creating sounds but am confused where to save them etc.

Also, could someone walk me through how to hook up a machinedrum? Already i can see that will be next on the list as I need more drums

download C6 or use your favorite sysex tool.

MIDI control to keep the two in sync. I recommend using chains on the A4 and manipulating the drums on the MD. you can run drums through the filters of the A4, all or two independent drums.

Which dataline video? I’ve watched a lot but none really explain the file system for saving sounds, projects etc.

Actually the Sounds into a +Drive activated machine (so, a 1.1 OS )
are in the number of 512 divided between Bank A and Bank B.

Also they contain the Richard Devine collection.

The presets (Pattern speaking here)…are 64…but just have a fast listening to them while playing with Macro. Just for a rapid sight of some of the incredible things you can do with it.
Then erase/overwrite them and make your own dedicating a lot of time to knowing this machine.
It will give you back a lot of fun
