Hi!

I’m using arranger mode to structure a whole part of a live set and I’m having some issues. Here is what I want to do:

  • I want long samples triggered one time per section in each different tracks.

Here is what I do (and usually work but sometimes it acts up)

  • Lets say I’m doing my 003 Arranger section with: T1 (B.A/PT.01) long sample triggered
  • I select the pattern. I select the first trigger of the pattern. I hold the trigger button while I move the level knob to select the sample. Then I hold the trigger button again and clic right arrow (>) so I can select Trigger condition 1st.

Then I play the arranger with this pattern selected and the lenght of the patter on the arranger options (lets say example 512 steps which is the maximum the arranger let you). It usually works fine but sometimes there’re some samples that act up and start 16 or 32 steps later, or maybe loop every 16 steps etc. It’s weird cause it only happen sometimes. Usually I repeat the process a few times and it end up working well. What am I missing?

When I have all the arranger ready here it comes my second problem: I start putting MIDI triggers to send to my other gear and then the audio starts acting up again, starting 16 or 32 steps later, doing weird double bpm shit and so on. I feel like there is something about MIDI sending orders to some audio tracks or pattern. How can I fix this?

Thank you very much!!

Do those patterns play without problem if you are not in the Arranger?
Any scenes, lfos or midi modulating the sample start parameter?

Do you have midi going into OT or only out? Afaik, the Arranger sends song position pointer, not only start/stop messages. Not sure if it also receives song position pointer (it’s been a while since I used the Arranger), but you could simply deactivate send transport under midi → sync to test if that somehow causes a problem.
Of course you don’t have to test this if you don’t have midi going out of OT and back into it.

How exactly is your stuff connected via midi?
