How do you go about avoiding triggering things like transport controls, channel select, etc, while playing live midi into the OT on the auto channel?
I have not found a satisfactory way to do this, yet. Looking for suggestions

Excuse me if the following response sounds a little patronising; I don’t mean it that way at all, but it’s hard for me to gauge your level of experience based only on your question.
The full note mapping for the OT’s audio tracks is given on page C-1 of the OT manual; just don’t play the notes below number 72.
If you disable AUDIO NOTE IN in the MIDI configuration menu, your OT won’t respond to MIDI notes (including transport controls, chromatic playing of samples, track selection, etc.) outside of MIDI mode.
Thank you for your replies.
I’d like to retain the ability to play the entire range (more than half, anyway) of midi notes on the selected midi track AND trigger record on the selected flex track using the auto channel.
If I could disable audio in for everything but record I would be set, but I suppose I can’t have it both ways.
My workaround so far has been to use Ableton to switch midi channels going in to OT so I can target different tracks and still trigger record, but I was hoping someone might have another solution I hadn’t thought of.
I guess I could transpose the instrument up and then transpose the tracks back down to normal, thus avoiding triggering anything but notes…I’ll try that.
