Autopan the retriggers

I’m using a retrigger on my highhats at the end of my 4bar loop, and I would love it if the retriggers would alternate quickly between the left and right headphones. Is there a way to do it with a properly timed LFO or other method?

I’d guess using an lfo with trig mode ‘trig’ modulating panning should work perfectly.
Lfos are always tempo synced, you just gotta sync the lfo to retrigger speed. Here’s a handy table with lfo speeds and how they relate to the sequencer.

Just p-lock lfo depth for the retriggers or introduce lfo with a scene or with fill trigs or one shot trigs (p-lock lfo depth).

I’d also try Trigs Counts instead of Retrig. This way the lfo is retriggered at each repetition. Lfo with Hold setting in that case, to have a distinctive pan for each repetition…

Might be even better, because trig count also retriggers the filter envelope with every repetition afair. I rarely ever use it actually.

@Annonymust trig count is in the microtiming menu. Hold trig and press left or right arrow to open the microtiming screen, then press up arrow to add trig count retrigs (2 to 8 are possible). Rtrg/Rtim is more flexible, but both have their own advantages.

Yep. Several advantages soundwise with Trig Counts. Retrigs have tuning advantage (each increment corresponds to a semitone).

Trig Counts have to be set step by step, (copy possible of course, and nowerdays holding several steps) no control with crossfader of Trig Counts speed…
