Automate track fade-in/out

Hello everyone, I’m wanting include some fade ins and outs in my patterns, but I can’t figure out how you can do this.

I thought you could do it in live mode, with rec+play, and then adjust the level, but it doesn’t work, and it doesn’t work when I try to record movements of a performance macro. I have been able to record filter sweeps and LFO speed adjustments, but no luck for track volume. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!

I don’t think you can automate track volumes, but you could try automating note velocities. That could, of course, mess up some modulations you might have mapped to velocity, but right now I don’t know of other solutions that are automatable.

if you have spare lfos or envs you could ramp up the voice level (Amp), not track level

Live record it in by adjusting the level?

Parameter slide the volume up?

That’s the issue though. I don’t think the A4 will record track level movements, at least they don’t when I try to do this. Correct me if I’m wrong, it would be great if it’s that simple.

I wonder if the p-slide would work though, if I did a plock at the start of the measure with Velocity 0, and did a 2nd plock at the end of the measure with Velocity 100 (or whatever), and activated p-slide on the 2nd.

Correct me if I’m wrong,.[/quote]
i spelled out on my first reply you need to modulate(or record) Amp level not track level :+1:

Sounds good, I’ll give that a try.

(I overlooked your 1st reply, my apologies)

you could set up performance macros
