just curious if anyone in the austin area would be up for meeting up and jamming.

I’m in ATX and I would totally be down to Jam/ talk shop!

Interested - maybe we could just bum rush an open mic?

There’s an exploded drawing show 29th august - those are good dudes to talk to (not elektron per se, just good dudes and good jams).

Let’s set something up. Y’all have chat (Google Talk, aim etc)?

puxflux and i plan to meet sometime this weekend. if anyone else is up to meet, message he or me for further details.

Let me know how it goes - I’m playing San Angelo on Saturday so will be gone most the weekend, as I am many weekends, but I’m still down for something. Keep me posted how it goes.

Hi,

I’m in Austin Sep 5 and 6. Any recommendations for shows or places to shop for gear?

show this weekend is tonight at cheer up charlies. my homeys are spinning vinyl up there starting at 12. Cheer Up Charlies is great - its a little more downtown though but you can park eastside or somewhere a little north like 11th st and walk there.

As for gear shopping hit up switched on (you probably knew that) or livid instruments - you can get stuff right out their shop (burnet and 183 area).

alternatively i’ve got gear to sell.

puxflux and i had a fun meet over a couple of beers earlier last month. we’re trying to coordinate a time to jam here soon. it’d be fun to have another meet with some more like minded people.

Cheer Up Charlies sounds like fun, but probably won’t be able get anyone to go with me that late.

I’ll check out switched up and livid tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.

@jeffe Not really looking to buy, but hoping I can try a few things There are no places to try things out back in North Carolina.

yea livid is more of a i know what i want already and im gonna pick it up deal - not really a showroom.
youll probably like switched on.
of course there are two guitar centers.

i know that st. evan has a thing downtown that does workshops etc, but i’m really just looking for people to jam with and talk shop with.

puxflux and i got together several times and had some good times jamming and just talkin’ electronic music. he has since moved to portland, so just wanted to reach out to see if anyone would be interested in meeting up for a beer/coffee and jam.

Hey–I a always open to some shop talk and creative activity. Although I am a much more proficient as a guitar player I have been exploring electronic based music on my own for 20+ years

another bump for any austinites who’d be up for a jam/music talk.
