My current setup is very lean - hexdrums and a Bree6 keyboard. I’m looking for an interface that will allow me to record these in to ableton with at least 6 individual outs from the hexdrums. My current interface is an M4 so it’s just not big enough. I’ve been thinking about an SSL 12 with an ADAT expander but I know nothing about ADAT having ever used them before. I’m open to any suggestions. The plan is to create patterns on my gear and record in loops where I then do arrangements. Keep it simple. Maybe even record in a lon performance that becomes the track. I do have some fx pedals that I’d like to use with the 2 machines too. Ideally I’d also like to be able to play with the gear without firing up my laptop.
