Just wondered what people reckon the possibility of elektron adding Audio Through to the Digitakt is? So you could use it with another device live, without needing a mixer.
Also once we get overbridge, do we think it will be possible to get audio out of the DAW from the digitakt outputs as well as feed the digitakt signals through the DAW?
That would be a nice touch. I don’t really rate the fx on it, as to me they are standard at best, however being able to input audio and use it in the way you describe, and to utilise the onboard fx would be really useful.
In regards to audio out of the DAW, they’ve said it will work as a 2I2O soundcard so yeah - you’ll be able to send audio out of the DAW if you use it that way.
Hoping for the audio through, would make recording external synths that are sequenced via the midi tracks so much easier.
I don’t think the audio input will show up in overbridge as an input.
“Stream the eight internal tracks to separate DAW tracks (24 bit/48 kHz)” is what’s mentioned for the Digitakt.
For the Analog Four Mk2 it’s: “Stream all 4 internal voices, external inputs, and main bus to separate DAW tracks (24 bit/48 kHz)”
