Attack Samples

Hi There

I can’t get enough of my Analog Rytm, and I love working and getting big kicks. While combining samples with the analogue sounds it kind of reminded me of LA synthesis ( yes I’m that old) where actually the attack is by a sample and the remaining part is synthesised.

I believe this is also kind of the approach of Metrum by vengeance, which is a plug where you can combine the attack and tails of all sorts of kicks.

My question, is there a sample pack available with only the attack of kick drums ( or other drum related sounds)?

you could just make your own. take kick samples you like,make them short and apply low cut to taste.

otherwise goldbaby has some stuff in his dirt layers sample pack i think…

I can’t think of any packs, but lets face it, when you’ve modified the kick so that all you’re left with is the sharp attacking ‘click’ sound, why not just go looking for click perc samples. There’s bound to be loads of those, and they’ll no doubt have the same effect.

Dirt And Layers from GoldBaby has really good layering stuff like sub tones, bass drum transients, snare drum top layers etc ect. There’s some very nice vinyl and tape halo that works great on the AR.
