Assigning Ext In to a PAD

Hi All,

Just got my hands on the AR MK II.

I connected Digitone to Ext. in of AR MK II. Does anybody know if I could somehow configure/define which PAD triggers/controls the Ext. in?

Currently, for example, if I mute KICK, it also mutes the Ext. in - which I find a bit strange. It would be fantastic to assign Digitone to another PAD, and use that PAD to mute/unmute/do other actions for Digitone.

There is no mute or activation connected to external in. It always passes audio. Most likely you have distortion symmetry parameter way up, and the ext in is heard as long as the kick is there, and when not the external in is DC offset too much, so it’s not heard anymore. Do check for this

Thanks! This brings peace to my mind. Then I just have to control Digitone from itself - that is fine.

I ll check the symmetry parameter of the distortion - thx for the tip!

Note to myself and to others:
The described behaviour happened because Rytm’s MIDI channel triggers are automatically assigned so that PAD 1 -> MIDI CHANNEL 1, PAD 2 -> MIDI CHANNEL 2

When Rytm sends MIDI signal to Digitone, Rytm’s PAD 1 automatically begins controlling Digitones Track 1, PAD 2 track 2, and so on.

To change this, go to Rytms MIDI Channel settings and turn Track 1 - 4 to OFF. Now Rytm only controls itself and Digitone can handle its self.
