ASP 800 vs TubeOpto 8 vs Octopre

Hey,

I’m looking for a nice and cheap expansion to use with an Audient iD22. Mostly, what I need is recording analog synths and the elektron analog rytm (vocals are coming directly to the iD22 preamps).

My main options are: Audient ASP 800 ($799), ART TubeOpto 8 ($499) and Focusrite Octopre ($499). The ASP 800 seams to be the best option, but maybe doesn’t worth it if I will not be using the preamps but only line instruments.

Check out the Behringer ADA8200. I know, i know, Behringer, but the thing is So cheap and gets rave reviews. Even more reason to go for it if you’re not using the pres.

I got the Octopre dynamic as an adat upgrade for the saffire pro 40 and I love it, it is well made and really flexible for routing audio around.
