You must have completely different ears to me… the Analog Heat is rammed full with character.

Sure if we add the nonlinear drives into the equation… but to me ears, when those are left unused, AH is quite transparent and the filter sound pretty linear to me

As long as you don’t try to use/control the sequencer…

Is this a good deal?

two of them would be awesome. the dream

your gamble is whether the internal components have broken or are merely bent.

given is it probably more than 50% what you’d pay for a new one, personally I think this is a bad deal.

Even if the insides are ok, you’ll have some job getting it bent back to normality and may break the interior in the process.

Nope.
An ok/‘take a punt’ deal would be $100.

Is it circuit bent?

How did this even happen??

I think even $100 is expensive for something that probably needs to just go in the bin.

Amazingly, this seller has listed two bent MiniFreak units.

huh, and they do look slightly different but bent in the exact same way and place and amount.

There is a story here.

Considering you can get a mint used one by around 450$, that listing is possibly the cheekiest I’ve ever seen.

My guess is they were both new in box stacked on top of each other on the retailer’s warehouse, and something heavy and thin like a forklift blade hit both at the same time.

Reminds me of those ergonomic keyboards — maybe it’s a feature, not a bug!

I think I can fix it if I put it in the oven for just the right amount of time

Freaky. Where did this come from, it doesn’t show up on reverb for me.

edit: oh I guess it’s a joke?
