Arturia Minifreak

I played with it for an hour in the shop. It really looks and feels great, incredibly intuitive to program sounds (and sequencer) and easy to make it sound good - quite unlike Microfreak. With plugin integration it does seem like ideal synth for hybrid setup. For my setup though I think Microfreak is better suited. “Nice” sounding patches, effects and polyphony are pretty well covered by MC-707 and I’d definitely miss user wavetable and granular oscillators (and vocoder). It’s also twice the size of Microfreak, which goes agains my downsizing attempts. It could potentially replace Keystep 37, but again I know I’d miss quick midi channel switching and programmable knobs.

It does tempt me to try a hybrid setup with it though…
