Artists/bands that use both organic instruments + synths?

I’m a big fan of Conjure One and Delerium and I love how they fuse synths, drum machines and effects with organic instruments. Both use a lot of pianos, eastern instruments, vocal chant etc., along with some really accomplished synth work. Suggestions welcome for similar hybrid-setup artists!

Maybe more on the rock side, but I’ll throw some ideas anyway.

One of my favourite albums is mixing electronics and “wooden” instruments.
Thom Yorke’s The Eraser.

Another one is a classic on this aspect, Björk’s Homogenic.

Trentemöller’s Lost is another example.

Harmonia back in the 70s were pretty great at combining electronics with guitars, piano, vocals etc. Especially the album Deluxe. Members of Cluster and Neu. Eno did a good bit of recording with them too.

My band! In studio and live, we use guitar, bass, euphonium, bass trumpet, theremin, minimoog, mellotron, perfourmer, grendel commander, acoustic and electronic drums, etc. Though usually not all at the same time.

The Sultan Osman album by Pete Namlook (synths/production) and Burhan Ocal (vocals and traditional Turkish instruments). I thought I read somewhere that Namlook used nothing but Propellerhead Reason for this project but can’t find the proof - not that it really matters.

This is the last album I did before going full acoustic.
I’m blending mainly strings with electronics, but also a good amount of bass and B flat Clarinet, and piano. First song also features a MDUW+.

Other ideas have come to mind:

Nils Frahm: acoustic piano, glass harmonica, Rhodes, Junos, Mellotron, Space Echoes…

LCD Soundsystem: rock combo, modular, Moog the Rogue, drum machines, Clavinet, TB-like…

PVT: drumset, electric bass, Juno, machines & live sampling…

And this guy named André Duracell who preformed maybe 20 years ago. Not sure how famous he was and whether he still does that. He triggered a MicroModular with a drumset and played some vintage videogames tunes.

This has turned into a real treasure trove of a thread - thanks for everyone’s contributions. I’m slowly working my way through them.

In particular, Battles (@Octagonist) - what magical yet brilliant from-another-galaxy nonsense is this? I watched that Boiler Room session somewhat stupified, my brain trying and failing to shoehorn it into a genre. Closest thing I’ve ever heard is some of the Radil Soulwax stuff by 2 Many DJs. Good find.

Speaking of criminally underrated/underheard, anyone familiar with Mansun (c. late 90s/early 00’s)? Seem to recall an interview where they talked about running the guitars through a Korg synth and other whacky techniques. This one has some lush pads towards the end.
