Arranger newbie question

Hi
I have created three patterns; A01, A02 and A03. I just want them to play in sequence and then start at A01 again etc etc. So it goes A01-A02-A03-A01-A02-A03-A01 etc etc

Manual says this (see below) so I have row 002 listed before the loop symbol, but it just runs through the three patterns and keeps repeating row 002.

The arrangement section will now loop infinitely between row 000 and the row containing the loop command.

you want to change that “002” after the word loop to “000”

That number is the ‘jump back’ location and where the Loop command is the end.

Just wanted to add if one would like to only sequence patterns (as OP described) in a ‘pure’ playback fashion. And have no intention to use the Arranger more than playing them over and over (ie no programmed event muting etc), you also have the option of just chaining patterns…

Press and hold Pattern button, select one or more patterns (trig buttons). If more than one pattern are selected, they will be played back in the order you pressed all those pattern selections.

miketheman beat me to it…chain 'em

Wow, I can’t believe I didn’t know about chaining patterns for all these years!

Reminds me of how Cuckoo’s video pointed out that holding function with an encoder can zero the setting out. Life changing.

Life changing… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Glad I could help. I think the manual pages 142-144 (summary of button combinations) holds a few potential gems for each of us. But only if you/we truly understand the functions.

I recently realized myself, what a massive amount of work that quickly can get accomplished by using all the different button combinations utilizing Rec(Copy), Play(Clear) and Stop(Paste) properly. Not only for patterns. But scenes, tracks, track pages etc.

Just looking thru the summary button combinations regarding another combo right now, and trying it out. I found that even when you have an flex playing an sample on track 1, you can still manually record something into recorder buffer 1. Including Source 3 being: track 1. No interrupt of playback.

So, if you quickly would like to record some gradual changes (LFO, Fader etc) of a track. To save it into an separate sample. It is right there. And if you have set the lenght in the recorder correct, it will record for the time duration and then stop recording. Still while the flex track continues to play. Save it, assign it to another flex and start using it. And the flex track still playing the original. Amazing opportunity right there…

Thank you!
